Growing up I loved taking things apart so I could figure out how they worked. Then, and still today, in order to do something, reach a conclusion or evaluate, it is very important for me to know how things work, what effect it has on the environment and what processes operate, all in terms of making the right decisions. I started my career in the "trenches", got a job in a mineral fertilizer factory and worked in the process, progressed to become an electrician, to finish college and work in the security service. As I have a love for heights, I am no stranger to working at height, in depth, in closed containers or in dangerous atmospheres. All the jobs I did helped me to work better and more conscientiously as an occupational safety engineer. Narrower specializations, work in the field, evaluations of workplaces encouraged me to always aim for the safety of workers, equipment and the environment. During my security work, I also specialized in performing internal audits according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Within the company, I lead teams for IT systems improvement (input-output controls, auditing systems, integrated systems for OHS,...). I am a very active person, I enjoy hiking, cycling, running and travelling. I think that every new experience, idea or positive thought complements each individual and opens up new perspectives. I like to push my limits so I do marathons, triathlons and long distance hikes. I have also completed a mountain guide course and enjoy guiding other people through natural beauty.
