Self-motivated, passionate about working with Data, with high attention to detail and strong willingness to learn and contribute. I love working on challenges in biology/biotechnology and healthcare, using vast amount of data and techniques like machine learning and deep learning to solve complex problems. I am keenly interested in computational biology (mainly computational genomics), and have a strong background in bioinformatics, R/Python, Unix and automation.
Worked as a Research Intern in BayesLabs. I worked on projects which focused on disease pathway prediction and prioritization of disease genes using Network Biology. My role was to understand the potential problems in the drug discovery pipeline and to apply Deep Learning/ Machine Learning algorithms to speed up the process of drug discovery. I also worked on target validation as well as drug validation techniques.
Worked on Molecular biology techniques for engineering of bacteria. Included training in PCR, transformation and related techniques for engineering of recombinant strains. The project also employed electroporation, for introduction of a gene into an organism with the help of an electric shock.
"Screening for SNPs associated with thrombophilia using Multiplex Real Time PCR Technique" My contribution in this study was to learn and apply Multiplex real time PCR to study SNP's associated with Thrombophilia in patient samples.
