Traded within the Full Trailer Load Department in Nottingham full trailer loads within 30 minutes of various truck operating companies such as LKW Walter. Handled a SAP like internal Kuehne + Nagel IT system, working under pressure to a strict time limit. Negotiated prices within this time limit via email with subcontracted companies. As a result generated substantial business for Kuehne + Nagel Ltd. Resolved occurring problems quickly for example trucks not showing up at the loading facilities, which supported the K+N Sales branches. Communicated with subcontracted companies and customers to solve queries and problems and negotiated penalties and fines with subcontracted companies or customers according to Kuehne + Nagel terms and conditions. As result occurring problems could been solved as soon as possible so money and time was saved.
IhreGene GmbH is a young start-up company founded in 2008. Its core sector is the building and selling of preventive genetic analyses. In 2012 the first retail outlet was built in Hamburg, Germany. Assisted in the development of a new start-up in the sector of preventive genetic analyses. Prepared various Excel sheets and Word documents including a 15 pages business plan and as a result the startup was successfully established. Organised and developed the daily business procedures including the handling of the daily accounting and invoicing tasks, calculating financial figures and statistics for internal as well as external stockholders and supporting customers and answering queries over the telephone, E-mail and post. Thus daily rules and processes were established. Prepared and supported the CEO, developed presentation material and provided calculations for sales, profits and liquidity on an operational tactical and strategic level. Developed PowerPoint and Excel skills and gained the ability to forecast and plan. Assisted in the foundation of the first retail outlet providing calculations for capital requirements, sales forecasting and liquidity and assisted the CEO to select and order products. The shop reached break even six months later.
In 2009 military service was still mandatory for every German man after completing education. The German military has 250,000 soldiers and is one of the biggest employers in Germany. The reconnaissance battalion 3 in Lüneburg employs over 1,000 soldiers. Developed skills including endurance, teamwork and learned physical limits within exhausting and stressful simulated war scenarios. For example spent four nights in the woods within a simulated war scenario with little sleep, permanent drill and exhausting marches over 30 km. Assigned to support the Head of HR of the battalion for six months. This required various essential key skills including accuracy, organisation and punctuality. Recognised for loyalty and given the responsibility of handling highly confidential and classified material. Developed skills in accurate shooting in stressful scenarios where decisions had to be made quickly. As a result received a medal for excellent shooting.
