I am a PhD candidate in the School of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney. Before studying for my PhD, I hold a BA in History from Hong Kong Baptist University and an MSc in China and Globalisation from King's College London. I also worked as a research support staff at certain Hong Kong universities and gained experience through different historical projects. My PhD research focuses on "State Appropriation of Confucianism: A Comparative Study of Civic Education in the "Chinese Cultural Revival Movement" in Taiwan and the Promotion of "Asian Values" in Singapore." Besides academia, I also wrote articles published regularly in the media.
I am so grateful to have been selected as a visiting scholar at the Graduate Institute of Taiwan History at National Chengchi University to revise my thesis research and expand my scope.
