Leading or supporting conflict reduction and peacebuilding efforts of or for various organisations (UN, Ministries of Foreign Affairs, national and local authorities, NGOs) with thematic and methodological advice and innovative training development. Major achievements: 1. A ground breaking participatory Peace, Development, Security analysis in Bougainville, Papua New Guinea, providing new insights in the problematic governance relationship & generating new momentum for the peace and governance work. 2. Development and delivery of an innovative course on ‘Effective Advising in International Cooperation Contexts’ commissioned by the Swiss Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs also for its Swiss Expert Pool; 3. Different possible business models for the Advisory Team researched.
Part time consultant in different roles: facilitating of strategic analysis & planning; evaluation; training
Resource person for the organisation and partners on capturing, structuring and transmitting the collective experience. Working with programme officers and new and established national partner teams (15) on various aspects of programme design, strategic review and evaluation. Major achievements: 1. Multiple organizational resource materials produced and seen used. 2. Organisational evaluation capacity strengthened. 3. Effective focal point for donor-commissioned evaluation of the organization. 4. Several multi-country research projects delivered. 5. Effective coordination of global civil society engagement with the inter-state International Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding. 6. Annual course on Senior Leadership developed and delivered.
Providing managerial oversight and support to existing programmes with national partners worth $ 12 million & driving the feasibility assessment of new programmatic initiatives. supporting programme officers with proposals and donor reports. Major achievements. 1. Helping to rebuild donor and staff confidence after an organizational financial crisis. 2. Concluding the feasibility assessment in Burundi and deciding the choice of national partner. 3. Driving the organisational learning related to the premature termination of the Macedonia programme.
