    Principal Operational Execution: The Technical and Sustainability (T&S) Underground (UG) Mining teams purpose and focus is to support delivery of the Business Strategy within the business units, identifying and executing sustainable operational improvements at a Strategic and Tactical level to deliver increased business margins and ROCI through influencing Volume, Quality, Safety and Cost performance. The P101 Business Strategy forms the burning platform for this work and is a business priority. We need to approach our most value-driving areas of the business with a fundamentally different mindset and appetite for changing how we operate and maximise the benefits of technical and digital innovation. P101 will be instrumental in helping us to achieve our Burning Ambition toward FutureSmart Mining. Appointed as Senior Mining Manager at De Beers Venetia Mine VUP, supporting the OPCO team in leading capital development execution as well as full accountability on the integrated owners team (IOT) establishment - key to ramp up development within the desired state enabling first production. Transitioning Venetia Open Pit (VOP) employees to the VUP by drawing from global Tier 1 mining contractor experience to ensure the best skills remain with our employees. Systemising the day to day, weekly, three monthly and long term planning as well as execution. Embedding sustainable safe production output by identifying P101 initiatives and driving the identified key performance areas for improvement in mining quality, standard and compliance. Identifying infrastructure reliability improvement areas tracked on short interval control basis supporting the ramp up in production output. Interphase management between the mining contractors and Tier 1 contractor onboarded to transfer skills to the De Beers front line teams known as IOT. Ensuring alignment, transferring of positive learnings, while a common goal toward transforming the VOP Mine to the VU Mine is achieved in Q1 2024.
