Providing consultancy and project management for instrumentation, metering and automation challenges in various industries, conducting research and define specifications, selection of equipment, software development, certification, review of documents, supervision of installation and hook-up, propose optimization and upgrades
Responsible for electronic and firmware of instruments manufactured in Germany with close liaison with purchasing, calibration and manufacturing; Project and Requirement Management for instruments within multi-disciplinary and international project teams, providing consultancy to headquarters in Tokyo during 9 months' stay; Managed certification of instruments for custody transfer measurement (OIML R117-1) in Europe (MID Annex 005) and the US (NTEP), functional (SIL2, IEC 61508) and nuclear safety (Emphasis, Sellafield Ltd.); Conceptual design of supporting tools: DD/DTMs, selection and sizing tool, engineering tools to calculate gas properties, concentration parameters, create verification report; Definition of KPIs and generating reports from company's manufacturing database; Investigation of onshore upstream applications in oil fields in Texas and filed US patent for improved method of net oil computing, familiar with API standard; Providing consultancy to affiliates and customers worldwide, support to obtain local approvals (e. g. TIIS in Japan, KOSHA in Korea, SPRING in Singapore); Frequent contacts to customers, certification companies, notified bodies and national calibration authorities; Participation in audits, assessments, factory acceptance tests etc.; Conducting field tests for continuous improvement and verification and validation of new functions, designs etc.; Testing of communication in supported field communication protocols and contact to process control system division to ensure smooth integration;
Responsible for all firmware activities in department (responsible for vortex flow meters and thermal mass flow meters); Coordination of electronic and firmware development, testing, calibration and manufacturing; Successful release of PROWIRL 73 and T-MASS 65; Successful certification for functional safety (SIL2, IEC 61508) for vortex meter PROWIRL 72, assistance in FMEDA for hardware, implementation for additional diagnostics; Implementation and optimization of various algorithms to calculate fluid properties (steam: IAPWS 97, natural gas: NX-19, AGA 8, technical gases and mixtures: NEL 40); Implementation of software for more automated identification, test, calibration and parameterization; Assistance in development of SAP ordering module with plausibility and range check for parameters; Regular on-site visits to conduct field tests, installation, customer support, service and maintenance; Supervision of a trainee; Assistance in development of new air calibration rig for thermal mass flow meters;
