Klaus-Michael Koch holds a Dr.-Ing. in Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. He gained international research experience as a staff scientist at Forschungszentrum Jülich (Germany), Los Alamos National Laboratory (USA), and the Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland). He served as Founding Director and Dean of Electronics at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, where he played a key role in shaping engineering education. He also established Austria’s first Fraunhofer joint venture, Carinthian Tech Research AG. Since 1999, he has been Director of Research and Development at Technikon Forschungs- und Planungsgesellschaft mbH in Villach, Austria, leading applied research and European innovation projects.
