Who am I? I’m Klaas Land, a curious mind and lifelong student of the natural world. My interests are as vast as the ecosystems I study, and my journey has taken me from aspiring biology teacher at HvA to specializing in ecology through a bachelor’s and master’s at the UvA. Along the way, I discovered a deeper passion for understanding the intricate relationships within nature and how we can thrive alongside it. My academic journey has been enriched by ecological fieldwork experiences, ranging from the Netherlands to the Amazon. These experiences have fueled my wish to understand nature and finding ways to harmonize our lives and the natural world. I am particularly interested in how we can adapt to nature efficiently and work towards a future where society and nature thrive together. Beyond my academic interests, I am an avid storyteller and an excellent writer (both recreationally and professionally). My creative nature blends well with my analytical thinking, resulting in an innovative mindset dedicated to working towards a better world.
