About

I got into programming through competitive programming, the kind where you spend high school debugging C++ at 2am and somehow think it's fun. Placed 4th at NOI 2022 (out of ~20k), made it to the final round of IOI national selection but didn't quite make the team. Came back the next year as a coach at Kokocoder, putting in 180+ hours on algorithms and DS. The org's students ended up taking 19 of 30 medals at the next NOI, which was a fun thing to be part of. Since then I've been trying to figure out how to be a real engineer, not just a competitive programmer. Currently interning at Simular, building AI agents. Last year I spent four months at TCS Pace Port Singapore (their R&D lab) helping speed up a robot from 7s to 3s response time and building an internal booking tool used by 50+ employees. Did a quarter at UC Davis on exchange and ended up writing React Native for a student-run roommate app with 190+ users. Full-stack stuff is okay (React, Next, Node, Postgres, the usual), though I think I'm probably more useful when the problem has some algorithmic teeth to it. Studying CS at SUTD on the ASEAN scholarship. Feel free to drop a connect or message if you'd like to chat 👋

Experience

  • Software Engineer Intern at Simular
    May 2026 - Present · 3 mos

  • Software Engineer at AggieWorks
    Jan 2026 - Mar 2026 · 3 mos

Part-time SWE for AggieWorks, UC Davis's student-led product org. Worked on RoomU, a roommate-finding app used by 190+ UC Davis students. • Built reusable Applied Filters Bar and confirmation dialog components in React Native (NativeWind, Reanimated), streamlining how users search and manage filters across listing and roommate discovery flows • Engineered a full-stack app versioning system using semver, with a Hono/Drizzle backend, TanStack Query hook, and animated update modal to keep clients in sync across releases

  • Software Engineer Intern at Tata Consultancy Services
    Sep 2025 - Dec 2025 · 4 mos

Spent four months at TCS Pace Port, TCS's R&D and innovation lab in Singapore. Mostly rapid prototyping and full-stack work for client demos. • Cut Misty II robot's response time from 7s to 3s by optimizing frame processing. Built a custom AI personality framework on top (PyTorch, OpenCV, YOLO) with face tracking and idle behaviors. Demoed to Toyota and UBS. • Shipped a full-stack employee booking system in 6 weeks for 50+ users. React frontend, Node.js + PostgreSQL backend, 30+ API endpoints, automated notifications, double-booking prevention, admin CSV export, deployed on GCP. • Built v1 of an internal RAG chatbot using LangChain, indexing internal docs and grounding LLM responses against real-time database queries.

  • Competitive Programming Coach at Kokocoder Group
    Jun 2023 - Feb 2025 · 1 yr 9 mos

Coached high school students preparing for Indonesia's National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI), a national-level competitive programming contest with ~20,000 participants annually. • Delivered 300+ hours of lectures and problem-solving sessions on algorithms, data structures, and competitive programming techniques in C++ and Python • Designed problem sets and ran mock contests to simulate olympiad conditions • The org's students collectively won 19 of 30 medals at NOI 2023

  • Vice President, SUTD Chapter at IEEE
    Jan 2024 - Jan 2025 · 1 yr 1 mo

Led the SUTD chapter of IEEE alongside the rest of the exco, focused on growing technical community on campus and connecting students to the broader IEEE network in Singapore. • Ran a competitive programming workshop and contest series for SUTD students, reaching ~80 participants across sessions. Covered DSA fundamentals through advanced topics, with problem sets hosted on VJudge. • Organized intro-level technical workshops on Python, C++, and Arduino-based hardware projects for students newer to programming. • Represented the chapter at external IEEE Singapore Section events and networking gatherings.
