As a senior product manager on Microsoft Power Automate, I lead the flow authoring experience in the designer with copilot, working very closely with a diverse group of stakeholders from design/research/data science to engineering to partner teams.
As a Product Manager for Microsoft Power Automate Maker team, I lead the Power Automate Designer team, focusing on enhancing the designer capabilities to make the automation creation process as simple and approachable as possible for business users. Additionally, I work closely with Power Automate Copilot to drive its capabilities and ensure that automation creation is as simple as describing what users need. In my role, I undertake various responsibilities, including creating monthly/semester plans for the Power Automate designer, working with researchers and data scientists, creating feature specs, collaborating with the dev team to deliver the features, measuring success metrics, and more. I also help write vision docs for my team and my product area and act on it. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging Power Automate Copilot, I strive to empower users by simplifying the automation creation process and making Power Automate a valuable tool for businesses of all sizes.
- Working on Growth and Integrations team to increase adoption by exposing the product to other services and supporting COGs team to identify and tackle gaps on cost-effectiveness for healthy financials. - Managing stakeholder's expectations and synchronizing cross functional works across teams inside Power Automate or other products within Microsoft to identify and promote synergies or avoid conflicts. - Daily work at the intersection of customers, designers, data scientists, development and the research team. - Constantly pursuing product gaps and customer expectations, brainstorming product ideas, validating idea by querying data(SQL like) or referring to data scientists, writing feature specs, clearly communicating and coordinating with stakeholders for feature delivery, monitor feature success and iterate if needed.
Built a heuristic engine that scans data model in PowerBI and suggests improvement for query efficiency. Worked with PM, developed a dev spec, reviewed it to product architects, and Checked in ~2000 lines of code while learning backend and a new language (C#) during 12 weeks.
