I was fortunate to work at Amazon.com in the early days and be a part of its fascinating history and growth story. My responsibilities included business & engineering leadership roles launching Amazon’s Consumer Electrics and PC stores, as well as introducing its 3rd party seller platform. My last role at the company was heading the design, development, and then operational P&L management of Amazon's Software & Video Games store.
In the early part of the '90s, I had multiple product management roles on Microsoft Office, Access, and Project. In the mid '90s, I joined the newly formed MSN division to help start Microsoft's online efforts. My last job there was leading the marketing, planning, and business development to create Microsoft Investor, an online personal investing web service. Investor was since renamed MSN Money.
