Over the past years, I have dedicated myself to enhancing the Dutch Circular Economy. During this period, I have gained extensive knowledge regarding sustainable business models, grant applications, recycling methods, and plastics within our family enterprise. This journey has been immensely rewarding, culminating in the prestigious recognition as the Frontrunner in Circular Economy 2024 by the RVO. After a fruitful collaboration with my family, I find it imperative to forge my own path once again. I possess considerable experience in the luxury retail where I have developed a profound appreciation for storytelling, conceptual thinking and exceptional experiences. In my ideal role, I envision a harmonious blend of both worlds.
The Print&Sign Project focuses on developing a closed-loop recycling system for PVC print and sign materials — such as self-adhesive films, backing and wrapping foils. These materials are widely used in the visual communication industry but often end up as mixed waste due to their multilayer structure (film, adhesive, liner). Through collection, mechanical separation, and extrusion tests, the project aims to demonstrate that this waste stream can be transformed into high-quality recyclate suitable for new products. By connecting producers, distributors, and recyclers, the project builds the technical and commercial foundation for a future PVC recycling facility dedicated to the Print & Sign industry — turning print waste into valuable raw material again.
• Collaborated with industry leaders to redesign material flow in the Print&Sign Industry, focusing on waste management and recycling techniques. • Implemented return logistics for recycling materials and integrating them into a new supply chain.
