With over 25 years of experience as a certified Pilates instructor and movement educator, I am continually inspired by Pilates as a powerful tool for healing, injury prevention, and whole-body conditioning. My path into Pilates grew out of both professional dance and personal rehabilitation following a life-threatening cervical spine injury. While rehabilitating at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital’s Dance Medicine Center, I discovered Pilates as an exceptionally refined method for orthopedic recovery and performance conditioning. I later completed advanced teacher training and spent seven years working at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital’s Sports and Dance Medicine Center under the direction of Dr. James G. Garrick. My background includes work as a professional dancer, Certified Massage Therapist, physical therapy aide, and women’s healthcare medical assistant. I have studied with many respected leaders in movement and rehabilitation and have worked with dancers, athletes, seniors, children, and clients of all abilities. Pregnancy and motherhood have also inspired my work with pre- and postnatal women. After my own successful recovery from a total hip replacement in 2018, I became especially passionate about pre- and post-surgical strengthening and working with the senior community. I am dedicated to helping people move with greater ease, reduce pain, and feel more at home in their bodies—at every stage of life. 🌿
