I am an experienced Chief Executive Officer and Non-Executive Director. I am Chair of the Healthy Communities Foundation of Australia, an innovative organisation delivering numerous health services to rural and remote communities with an advocacy and research agenda that aims to improve the way health care is delivered and made accessible. Previously I held Board roles with the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA), the Royal Flying Doctors Service, the National Rural Women’s Coalition and GROW mental health. For the past 15 years I have provided strategic consulting services to organisations including Cancer Australia, Beyond Blue, University of Western Sydney Medical School, Royal Flying Doctors Service and Council of Remote Area Nurses through my business ‘Health Strategy Consulting’.. I have been a Chief Executive of Rural Health Workforce Australia, the National Rural Health Alliance and the Murray Darling Medical School and held senior executive positions at cohealth (one of Australia’s largest community health services), the Australian Digital Health Agency, the Health Equity Research and Development Unit at Sydney Local Health District, beyondblue, the Federal Department of Health and the University of Sydney. I have worked at internationally as a Technical Advisor to the rural health workforce review led by the World Health Organization in Geneva and was the inaugural Chair of the Policy Expert Group for the Global Digital Health Partnership. My particular interests and skills are focussed on policy and strategy in relation to health system equity, digital health, integrated health funding and policy.
