Hello! My name is Kim-Phung Van, and I am a University of Colorado Denver graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with minors in Spanish, Chemistry, and Biology. I am interested in a career in medicine and hope to work with patients from underserved and underrepresented communities. Supporting dissertation research on social capital and health disparities among immigrant and Native American communities in Colorado. The project applies social network analysis and relational interviewing methods to uncover the mechanisms that shape health outcomes in diverse urban contexts. Transcribed, translated, and coded 30+ hours of interviews.

The purpose of this research is to understand the impact of Wellness, Emotional ALignment, and inTergenerational Healing (WEALTH). The program is a mindfulness-based workshop focused on intergenerational healing, on Vietnamese Americans' sense of identity, family relationships, and wellbeing.
