KIM KNOPPERS is an art historian, writer, curator and lecturer graduated from University of Amsterdam. Between 2010 and 2021 I worked at Foam, photography museum in Amsterdam, where I curated many contemporary group and solo exhibitions with emerging and mid- career artists. In addition I also focused on the origins of the medium in the nineteenth century. I contribute on a regulare base to magazines including Foam Magazine, Unseen Magazine and Aperture and enjoy writing for artists. I am a lecturer on the MA Photography at ECAL in Lausanne where I developed the course Do Not Disturb— Curating in Progress. Currently I am researching and writing about the relationship between archaeology & photography. I also immerse myself into the flora and fauna of the ancient landscape of Ephesus. I am aiming to connect these dots in exhibitions and a book.
