About

I teach tools and strategies that help improve the quality of life for neurodivergent children and adults (ages 7- 87). My clients learn how to overcome their specific learning, personal, and professional challenges in a comfortable, non-threatening environment. I am licensed in the Davis programs to assist clients with dyslexia, ADHD, math, writing, autism, Aspergers, and a range of other related challenges and learning disabilities. My intensive one-to-one programs reduce frustration and help clients participate more fully in life. My clients are typically bright, visual and/or hands-on learners. They often struggle with attention, reading, writing, math, balance, organization, understanding consequences and/or managing social relationships. Specialties: dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, autism, Aspergers, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, reading and writing disabilities, neurodiversity, visual-spatial learners, and twice-exeptional learners (gifted and LD).

Experience

  • Founder and Director at Chicago Reading and Dyslexia Center
    1991 - Present · 35 yrs 7 mos

I provide unique solutions to the struggles caused by dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, autism, Aspergers, and a range of other challenges related to reading, attention, math, writing, coordination, balance and social skills. Clients include both children and adults. All programs are designed specifically for the client and are all delivered one-on-one. I am licensed to deliver all the Davis programs including: Dyslexia Correction, Attention Mastery, Math Mastery, and the Autism Approach. These methods work at a deeper level for each client - addressing their core perceptual and cognitive challenges and gifts. The programs work far beyond the traditional symptom-solution rules of the road, such as tutoring. Clients learn tools and strategies to help them overcome their difficulties while building upon their many talents. The clients- and their families - experience an improved quality of life as a result.
