Of Spanish and British descent, Kika Child began her career as a ballet dancer in Bogota, Colombia. At 18, she landed her first lead role on TV in the series ‘A Escondidas’, and a few months later life introduced her to Argentinean filmmaker Leonardo Favio who was holding auditions for his upcoming film "Gatica, el Mono", where she played the first wife of this legendary boxer in this Goya award-winning 90's film. She continued starring in prime-time television series and award-winning films, in versatile comedic and dramatic roles with directors such as Pepe Sanchez and Sergio Cabrera, before moving to New York City in the late 90's in search of personal and professional growth. Most recently, Kika starred as Julia, in Mario Vargas Llosa’s ‘Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter' at GALA Theatre, Washington DC. As a steady cast member of the Spanish Repertory Theater, NYC, Kika has played in shows like "The House of the Spirits" and "Doña Flor and Her Two Husbands". She performs in different NYC theaters, and is a founding member of TabulaRasa NYC, while also doing voiceovers and print and tv commercials. Kika is also a writer and interpreter, certified by the state of New York.
