I am a dedicated and well-rounded second year LLB student currently studying at the University of Pretoria. I completed my first year of study with distinction, was placed on the Dean’s Merit List and I am a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. I featured as a top achiever in matric, as I was placed in the top 5% in South Africa for Business Studies. In addition to my academic pursuits, I was recently appointed as a Junior Jurist for the Student Disciplinary and Advisory Panel of the University of Pretoria, I represented South Africa at Yale University for the World Scholars Cup and was elected to my schools Executive council as a leader. I am passionate about law, outreach and innovation with strengths in communication, teamwork and problem solving.
I am an assistant dance teacher for Rhythmic Elements Dance Academy. I am tasked with both teaching and creating choreography. I mainly teach children, which has allowed me to gain a sense of responsibility and it has taught me leadership, patience as most of all communication skills.
As a Junior Jurist for the Student Disciplinary and Advisory Panel I am tasked with assisting the panel with various outreach initiatives, this includes both the planning and execution of said initiatives.
During my time at ENSafrica, I had the privilege of assisting in both the Corporate & Commercial and Insolvency departments. Working alongside some of the most brilliant legal minds in the country was an invaluable experience that deepened my understanding of legal practice in a meaningful way. I was exposed to the drafting of various legal documents and entrusted with a range of research tasks that allowed me to develop practical skills while applying my academic knowledge to real-world matters. Each task offered new learning opportunities and sharpened my analytical thinking. One of the highlights of the programme was having the opportunity to sit in on insightful presentations delivered by top practitioners across the firm. These sessions provided exceptional exposure to different areas of law and offered a firsthand look into the strategic thinking behind complex legal issues. Equally rewarding was the chance to meet, interact, and network with both new people and seasoned professionals. The welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment made the experience all the more enriching.
I was invited to be part of the Webber Wentzel Experience programme which entailed various workshops and practical experience. I was able to network with some of the best legal minds in the country, while also assisting with certain tasks. I had the privilege of working in the insolvency and liquidation dispute resolution department which was highly insightful. I was able to interact with clients as well as with expert witnesses which was an eye opening experience.
