* AIMA/ACC is the largest global body of alternative asset managers representing 2100 members across 60 countries managing US$2.5tn of assets. AIMA also incorporates the Alternative Credit Council (ACC) which represents asset managers focused on the private credit and direct lending space active in various strategies including direct lending, real estate debt, mezzanine finance, trade finance and structured assets * As a Co-Head of APAC, I work closely with my colleague Michael Bugel to drive and execute our strategy in the APAC region. In this role, I proudly serve as a senior ambassador for AIMA/ACC and the alternative investment industry. * I lead our policy and regulatory efforts, advocate for the industry, and engage with policy-making institutions, governments, regulators, and tax authorities, as well as support educational and industry research efforts * Additionally, I oversee the work of all our technical committees (asset management regulation, markets, tax, digital assets, innovation/cyber technology, private credit and ESG) in the region. * AIMA's government affairs team engages with worldwide policymakers and regulators to provide data-driven insights and support policy development and implementation. Our work covers a broad range of issues in asset management regulation, markets, tax, and sound practices, including the development and maintenance of sound practice guides and due diligence questionnaires to address issues affecting alternative investment managers' operations and business.
I serve as AIMA's representative on AMAC's International Partners Committee which advises AMAC on the development and innovation of China’s asset management industry and fosters mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign asset management institutions
