Projects in this context: ITER : International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor In southern France, 35 nations are collaborating to build the world's largest tokamak, a magnetic fusion device that has been designed to prove the feasibility of fusion as a large-scale and carbon-free source of energy based on the same principle that powers our Sun and stars. Assignments : Project Engineer TB11 – Retrofit and finishing works in the Tokamak complexe - Liaising with the client and ensuring that the work is delivered within the agreed timescale and budgets, - Leading the technical weekly meeting with the client and the designers - Writing reports including technical feasibility studies and building inspection reports, - Extracting key information from drawings, schedules and specification - Familiar with actual resourcing levels versus budget and reporting of reasons for difference, - Marking up the progress achieved weekly contributing to collection of data for key performance indicators and substantiating the reasons for discrepancies, - Monitoring of as-built quantities - Ensuring that the works are performed in accordance with the project requirements, - Raising any non-conformance reports when it is necessary - Producing accurate records containing daily diary, photographs and site discussions, - Carrying-out site inspections and respond to technical issues raised by the Site Team, - Completion of Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover documentation in a timely manner in line with the project’s program
Projects in this context: EPC Contract for Al-Zour new refinery construction. A 1,700 meter jetty for loading ships with sulphur granules produced in the refinery. The jetty will be extended by a wharf and is to carry a 3.6 km conveyor belt linking the refinery with the ship loader (500T).
