New Doha International Airport (NDIA), CP60: Central Utility Plants Project. Main contract Value US$ 252,900,000. Civil portion Value US$ 60,000,000 consists of 3 Central Utility Plants CUP2, CUP3 and CUP4, with a built-up area around 21,000 m2. These plants will be supplying permanent chilled water and backup power to facilities inside the Airport. Responsibilities: Coordinating the works between the 3 CUPs, interfacing with other CPs (contract packages) contractors regarding temporary/permanent requirements, connections and supplies from the plants to facilities including and not limited to civil, electrical and mechanical works inside other’s plots. Establishing a utilities database for the entire Airport showing all underground and above ground utilities for design purposes and for the execution of works. Coordinating between Overseas Bechtel Incorporated and our site teams for the Electro-mechanical and civil works; organizing schedules and look-ahead, attending the weekly and bi-weekly construction and coordination meetings with OBI and all the contractors for all interface issues. Coordinating reports between the 3 plants: Collecting each CUP reports (works, manpower, progress, planning, etc.…). Coordinating concrete between the 3 plants: Coordinating concrete supply from main batching plant to each CUP organizing pouring schedule and 3 weeks look-ahead, issuing the payments.
