Software engineer with a focus on the backend, and passionate about psychology! I have more than 8 years of professional working experience; with 7 years of them being in software development, where I find myself not only enthusiastic about coding, but also keen to close the gap between technical and business aspects. My main job as a senior software engineer is to deliver quality code that is easily testable and maintainable. Keeping a problem-solving mindset to evaluate and question everything! Trying to always look for the best solution with the best outcome for the current situation. Also, conducting technical and non-technical discussions with my team to see which areas to improve to facilitate our delivery workflow. I am always keen to read, learn and discuss about how to create a healthy environment for a team, and how to help in pushing them forward. I love taking initiatives, and I love having full ownership over my work and projects that I get handed. That "ownership" part is where I get super excited; it allows me to feel the connection between the three areas that I am most interested in: Technology, Business and Psychology (Customer behaviour). Worked previously as a teaching assistant, till now I am still recalling the beauty of discussing ideas with students and watching them move forward towards their goals! I love coaching, and being coached. I value having a good team – growing solo is not my thing.
Moved to Meister's Growth team to work on activation and team-adoption initiatives across products serving 40M+ users. Led Domain-based Team Joining, one of the team's most successful initiatives — new users could join an existing team matching their email domain at signup. Owned the migration of 1.5M email domains, validating each against internal and external business-domain checks. Projected at ~3 weeks; delivered in 2 hours by challenging the business requirements before optimizing the solution. Shipped as a Kubernetes job.
Meister builds productivity tools (MeisterTask, MindMeister, MeisterNote) used by 40M+ people. I spent four years on the Accounts platform — the centralized billing, payments, and authentication layer behind every Meister product. Led the company's biggest 2023 initiative: merging MeisterTask and MeisterNote. Owned the technical migration and payments work, designed the rollout across 10 user cohorts, and coordinated marketing, legal, CS, and the engineering director. Outcome: +10% ARR in Q4 2023, ~40% growth through 2024. Opened team creation to free-plan users (2022): cross-product changes coordinated with product leads, PMs, and the mobile team to drive team-based adoption. Automatic Billing: grace-period auto-charging for new members of paid teams — Braintree integration, churn investigation, payment-error reduction. Day to day: TDD with enforced coverage minimums, service-object refactoring, Ruby/Rails major-version upgrades, PR reviews and production deploys, onboarding and mentoring junior engineers.
E-commerce app for ordering from multiple nearby shops with a single delivery. Built the admin dashboard backend and RESTful APIs (Ruby on Rails); integrated Infobip messaging; implemented incoming and outgoing webhooks for order updates. Set up production on GCP (Passenger, NGINX, Redis, DB, image buckets); documented APIs with Swagger and Postman.
Creating online portals to provide helpful insights to post-sales & marketing departments. These portals are internal and mainly served our clients/teams in France. Some of my accomplishments there included: Building ETL jobs with Talend to receive large data-sets, process them and structure them properly into databases to be used by other platforms. Developing various portals using QlikView for marketing & sales teams to provide them with a user-friendly dashboard for data analytics.
