Ghent, Flemish Region, Belgium
I’m a Sports Scientist, cycling coach, and former professional mountainbiker with over a decade of international competition experience—including representing Belgium at the London 2012 Olympics. My coaching degree in cycling (specialized in mountainbiking) complements my passion for applying scientific insights to real-world performance. Currently, I work as advisor and running coach for Runners' lab and as a cycling coach for 3lab, where I integrate my athletic background with cutting-edge research to optimize training and recovery strategies. As a doctoral researcher under the VLAIO Baekeland mandate, I investigated the practical usability of the IDRO sweat lactate sensing patch in sports and exercise. This project, in collaboration with IDRO and Ghent University’s Department of Movement and Sports Sciences (PACE), bridges wearable technology and applied physiology.
Cycling coach and technique trainer at 3lab.
Coaching of endurance athletes with specialisation in cycling and mountainbike
Applied PhD (Baekeland mandate)- The usability of the IDRO sweat lactate measurements in sports physiology. A collaboration between IDRO and UGent, funded by VLAIO.
