My name’s Kevin – born and raised in a small town in the Netherlands. I’m 33 years old and believe in seeking discomfort. Stepping away from my comfort zone has given me everything I could’ve ever dreamed of. From all stories while travelling the world to personal growth and fulfilment that can only come from putting yourself out there. I am most grateful for: - First time living on my own in South-Africa - My master degree in Sweden - The discomfort from being a door-to-door salesman in New Zealand - The marathon I ran in New Zealand - Living and working in a new culture with a different language in Mexico My field of interests consist of the world of sports (active and passive), agriculture, international business and food. More than 25 entrepreneurs, which operate in the mushroom industry and represent the whole chain together, cooperate since 2017 within the Mushroom Valley platform. The goal is creating a Dutch Mushroom Center for the industry where businesses, researchers and educational institutions work together on topics such as promotion, innovation and education.
The road towards a biobased economy is with ups and downs. The Bio Treat Center, a community of entrepreneurs, is committed to work towards a biobased economy through biomass. My task is to sketch and share the opportunities and perspective, but also the threats and the realistic road towards a biobased economy.
