Initially employed as head of R&D to focus on post development product “de-snagging” and establishing the customer care / patient advocacy procedures responsible for 2 engineers. As the company evolved re-focus on establishing Operations and building the capability to scale up from pilot and setting the strategy for a Class 2 Medical Device Start Up. Operations responsibility included the management of the QMS and financial aspects such as Opex, Capex and CoGs: Key focus on Manufacturing: Managing and developing capability within the contract manufacturing network (Electronic manufacturing and Molding), define the scale up strategy and manage the capital expenditure and setting the 5 year Operations plan. Responsible for all Procurement aspects for global suppliers including packaging and ancillaries. Establishing processes to manage ISO13485 audits. Delivered 25% CoG reduction and reduced scrap rates by 30% + Supply Chain, managing all aspects with the Supply and Demand for the Products and all ancillary items such as electrical items and packaging. Responsible for the Operations aspect for an ERP implementation (NetSuite) and building out a S&OP agenda with senior leadership. Logistics, aligned to the Company strategy, identify and evaluate logistic partners and manage the “Site to Market”, “Market to Customer” and revese logistics for product returns for the UK, EU and NA regions, this included responsibility for all export and import partners and processes.
