Experienced Operations Director and Project Coordinator with 8+ years of working and managing in the cannabis industry. - Oversee operational needs, processes, production, and contracts for western facilities in the U.S including all cultivation from seed/clone to harvest, drying, and trimming of final product - Work with select team members to produce CapEx and OpEx budgets and projected revenue models for facility phasing - Work closely with the Compliance, Audit, Research & Development, Microbial, Post-Production, Cultivation, Design, Supply-Chain, Training, Finance and Legal teams as necessary to develop or refine decisions to better the companies’ success • Responsible for hiring, coaching, and firing operational team managers as well as setting employee counts and salaries to maintain costs and stay within budget - Make operational decisions based on weekly reports and meetings with operational teams that are overseen. Reports entail all facility metrics and issues including but not limited to, yields, pest and pathogen pressures, environmental data, mechanical/electrical/plumbing equipment malfunctions, workflow or employee issues, and budget constraints - Responsible for facility yields and production output
- Lead and assist with new build projects and retrofit construction projects related for cultivation facilities in U.S. - Build CapEx budgets and projected revenue models for facility phasing. - Projects include selecting and coordinating with the hired sets of Architects, Structural Eng, Civil Eng, Mechanical Eng, Electrical Eng, General Contractors, Fertigation/lighting/equipment vendors, etc. from start to finish of the project. - Work with internal Design Team to pick equipment, reivew MEP drawings, design Fertigation, commission sytems with site visits, and assist in facility layout to maximize efficiency of the space and improve workflow based on extensive operational experiences. -Set up service contracts for maintenance and training -Assist and manage operations and cultivation after project completion.
• Assisted Graduate students collecting data on federally endangered sturgeon species for Masters’ Theses along the Altamaha, Savannah, and Apalachicola River systems. • Responsibilities included catching, drift netting, gill netting, PIT tagging, measuring, acquiring genetic samples, and inserting radio transmitters into Atlantic, shortnose, and Gulf sturgeon species to determine spawning habitats as well as current status of juvenile Gulf populations. • Advanced boating & towing skills
• Lectured on topics relating to the ecology of North America throughout 22 states during an eight-week interdisciplinary field program that also integrated concepts focused on geology and anthropology. • Assisted with with hands-on learning through soil, stream side & macroinvertebrate surveys. Also graded & maintained students’ field books throughout some of the most spectacular national parks & monuments (ie: Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Crater Lake, Yellowstone, etc.) • Led hikes in remote areas to 16 students
