I'm a mechanical engineer wanting to make the world a better place by solving one problem, or several, at a time. I have 10 years experience working in multiple complex facilities. Working in large-scale industrial environments such as a petroleum refinery and business-critical data centers has its challenges and can be very rewarding. Through my career, I've managed and supported numerous projects helping facilities operate with excellence. Participated in Phase 1 and Phase II rotor inspections. Skills developed include using various micrometers, vernier/dial calipers, disassembling stacked rotors, single and two-plane balancing, at-speed balancing, non-destructive testing, and blue checking. I also spent my efforts updating the data acquisition system used for measuring rotor shaft electrical runout followed by developing a Visual Basic program to calculate rotor assembly stresses due to interference fits.
