Inkitt is an entertainment company with offices in Berlin and San Francisco which focuses on publishing novels onto their paid reading app GALATEA. Inkitt focuses on solving the main problem in the publishing industry: fairness and objectiveness in talent discovery. I am working in the Growth and Marketing team which focuses solely on GALATEA. In order to maximize GALATEA's Performance Marketing testing efforts and revenues, I am responsible for delivering dozens of ads (new concepts and iterations) every week. Apart from doing most of the hands-on work myself (graphic design and digital art through photo manipulation, motion and video editing), I manage our creative agency partners and freelance designers when it comes to creative direction, briefing, deadlines, planning, organization, budgeting and hiring. I also created a granular file management system with Google Drive. My usual hands-on projects are: - Creating Key Art for marketing banners to advertise individual stories. The stories we advertise change constantly to give each a chance to succeed in marketing. These key art statics have also been used within the app itself to advertise certain stories to existing users. - Video editing and motion design to create paid ads for Social Media that will make our target audience stop scrolling and install the app. - ASO-related designs to increase installs. I've created and ran multiple screenshot designs on our product pages on the app store and google play. - I sync with our UA Team on marketing data to draw hypotheses on why certain social media ads might be doing well or badly, and test these hypotheses further with new ads. I am knowledgeable in Marketing Data, and can read/understand metrics such as CTR, CVR, IPM, CPI and ROAS. I look at each ad's metrics to draw conclusions and come up with new tests and creative ideas. Platforms and placements for which I create (and lead the creation of) ads include: Facebook, Instagram, Google, Snapchat, TikTok.

As a publishing manager, I took over the complete book preparation process in the publishing department at Inkitt, a fiction book publisher. Said process included copy-editing, cover design, book layout design, final publishing and online marketing measures, mainly concerning the acquisition of reviews through e-mail marketing, Facebook ads and affiliates. I managed the deadlines and performance of +10 freelance designers. Moreover, I was also responsible for the content department’s accounting and bookkeeping. As a graphic designer, I created banners, landing pages, ads, full jacket book covers and e-mail layouts with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Illustrator and WordPress. Additionally, I designed the UX specs for a new web platform, and supervised the UI design and development. I controlled budget and costs, set deadlines, and conducted online marketing measures to acquire new users for the site. After 3 months, the platform reached +3000 new users.
The internship in Project Management took place within the Enterprise Sales department at Omnea GmbH, where I optimized business processes regarding sales lead generation and sales milestones, in close collaboration with the business development department. Additionally, I provided assistance, within the Online Marketing department, in the analysis of SEO performance and designed presentations and reports aimed at clients.
Equipment used during both projects include: - Canon Professional Camcorders (XF100 HD). - Rode VideoMic + Rode DeadCat Go microphone. - Lighting equipment. Used Premiere Pro and After Effects to edit the footage.
