I had full accountability for all Digital Projects and IT Governance. On 1st January 2017 Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust was acquired by Greater Manchester West NHS Foundation Trust to become Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. My post at Manchester Mental Health was transferred over to the new organisation and roles and responsibilities remained the same. Achievements and responsibilities: • Restructured the Trust IT Project Management Office by introducing a Prince2 framework with formal reporting through to Trust Board. • Controlled a transformation programme to deliver a tablet-based digital solution to community staff to deliver a 50% increase in efficiency. The software was developed in-house utilising an Agile, scrum based environment. The solution was deployed in a sensitive manner to staff who were initially resistive to change. • Oversaw the design and delivery of a new supplier managed Wide Area Network to increase resilience and availability resulting in a four-fold increase in speed and reducing costs by over 30%. • Introduced customised cloud facilities using G-Cloud, Microsoft Azure and ownCloud Enterprise and centralised storage with Dell EMC SAN Storage and Avamar Backup solutions within multiple dedicated Data Centres. • Developed the Trust Digital Strategy in line with business needs and objectives along with regional and national initiatives, complete with 1, 3 and 5 year delivery plans and budget projections. • Overall responsibility for controlling a combined capital and revenue budget portfolio in excess of £7m per annum and negotiated with vendors for the procurement of all IT product and services contracts including 24/7 support for mission-critical systems.
