I was hired as part of Aditya Birla Group's Engineering Leadership Program, batch of 2019. I was posted as a GET in Hindalco Industries Limited, the world's largest producer of rolled Aluminium products. I had three 2 month stints at various locations including an Aluminium Smelter, an opencast Bauxite mine and an Underground coal mine, before being posted permanently in Kathautia Opencast coal mine in Palamu, Jharkhand. I worked on a project for process improvement, to improve the accuracy of a mine reporting system, using automation. I was also the host for an event organised by GETs of 2019 batch, attended by senior leaders.
I worked in PwC India’s advisory SBU in the Mining team. I had a two month stint in PwC’s Gurgaon office, working primarily on a project involving data analysis, using past data to predict future trends in the consumption of Copper in India. Also worked on a project for a government agency, regarding trends in mining lease auctions of minor minerals.
