As a Project and Operations Manager within the administrative division of the Curriculum Department, I play a key role in coordinating and supporting cross-functional operations across multiple subject-specific teams. My responsibilities are focused on ensuring the smooth execution of strategic and operational priorities related to national curriculum planning and delivery. Key responsibilities include: - Coordinating the development of the Yearly Academic Plan, the foundational document outlining all courses offered in schools across the nation. - Leading the annual review and update of Grade 11 and 12 elective scenarios, aligning academic pathways with policy and educational priorities. - Supporting the creation, review, and implementation of departmental protocols and procedures, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with ministry standards. - Assisting in the development of the departmental budget, including preparing and submitting Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and project-specific financial plans for approval. - Overseeing the review and ongoing maintenance of vendor contracts where the department acts as the business owner, ensuring compliance and value delivery. - Managing the tracking of staff leave requests and maintaining operational oversight of internal workflows. - Serving as a liaison for technical and functional issues related to key educational platforms, including the national Learning Management System, the digital book system, and the department’s SharePoint. - Coordinating the termly preparation and uploading of Instructional Planners to the LMS and publishing Course Plans once educational resources are finalized. • Continued to serve as an advisor for all subjects taught in English across the Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman, including English, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Health Science, Design Technology (DT) and Creative Design and Technology (CDI). • Managed all teachers and lead teachers that are under my jurisdiction of Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman. • Met with school administrators and school boards to verify that educational standards and classroom policies are being achieved. • Set up a web-based collaborative platform, also referred to as a SharePoint page, to act as a resource sharing and administrative hub for all resources, staff appraisals and operational information. • Managed a team of five graphic/video designers that aimed to develop projects that revolved around virtual school programs with the MOE. This also includes the development and design of online lessons. • Played an integral role in the digitization of the MOE curriculum following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. • Established a wellbeing workshop platform dedicated to the Ministry’s employees. This involves employees from across the Ministry volunteering to run workshops that revolved around the Health and Wellbeing of MOE employees whilst under lockdown. Workshops included cooking, travel and fashion blog, non-contact kickboxing, as well as meditation and breathing practices. • Organized Professional Development training for all teachers (that teach in English) across Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman. • Designed and created an operational handbook for school subject leads to guide them in Ministry processes, procedures, and operations. • Developed and implemented a Subject Lead internal recognition program, published on the SharePoint page, which aims to acknowledge employee efforts and initiatives throughout the MOE run schools. • Created and implemented a Periodical Newsletter acknowledging the achievements of teachers and their schools across Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman.
