Hunan Electric Power Design Institute (HEPDI) is sole owned by China Energy Engineering Group. My role here is a business manager. My responsibility is to manage and develop overseas market for large power projects. Our work covers the complete business chain integrating planning, consultation, survey, design, construction, and operation.
My responsibilities include applying power system analysis and market simulation skills, providing technical advice to stakeholders on matters relating to both electricity and gas network planning and energy market modelling, contributing to Gas Statement of Opportunities, National Transmission Network Development Plan and Minimum Reserve Level Study, assisting the improvement of business process (through building intelligent, streamlining and automating processes), and providing inputs to the development of business requirements and industry consultation.
My responsibilities include maintaining the System Operation (SO) Market Model, providing real time support to energy operators and market participants, contributing to the development and analysis of electricity market systems, coordinating ancillary services, managing the program of SO/IT systems development, managing SO initiatives and projects, providing advise on Code and Market developments, assessing compliance to support SO and the Electricity Market.
