Owner & Farmer of Drummond Acres Farms [Drummond Island Farmers Market]. Currently manage and actively farm the fruit orchard, poultry operations, hydroponics, garlic, timber, and microfarm on Drummond Island Michigan. We are the only commercial farm on the island and furthest eastern farm in Michigan's upper pennisula. Our goals are to provide fresh food to the island residents and the many tourists who frequent our restaurants on the island. 100% GMO free and organic. Our farm practices Regenerative Agriculture. Drawing from a lifetime of experience and education I strive learn everyday and help to keep people healthy through nutritional products.
I have held both full-time and part-time positions over the last 21 years as a trucker. Going from company driver to owner operator & freight broker (CF Motor). I believe that trucking has provided me a great insight into the world that I would not have obtained otherwise. This is one position that never really left me---I enjoy being an "old school trucker" who has operated in true NAFTA fashion having operated well over a million miles from Alaska, Canada, 48 lower states, and Mexico. Education and professionalism I am proud of--but I'm also proud to be a entrepreneur as well. I have always managed to use my class A license (including instructing new truckers) throughout the last 21 years (and counting) when it was possible during my other educational and professional pursuits.
Ran and updated the GED, High School diploma, CTE, and CollegeBoard programs for the El Dorado County correctional education program in the Placerville maximum security facility. Administered daily operations to ensure academic accredited program integrity and supervisor of both regular union teacher assistants and volunteers. Per jail commander was responsible for running all education programs in the facility.
Taught online mathematics and on-ground General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry to nursing and dental students. Introduced and built new chemistry laboratory curriculum.
Taught General Chemistry 1 to engineers, pre-med, nursing, general ed, and teacher candidates.
