-Started as a game wrap writer -- assigned to a particular NHL game and wrote about at least eight players’ outputs in that matchup while analyzing their performances from a fantasy hockey perspective. -Promoted to breaking news writer two months after being hired. The position entails monitoring X (formerly Twitter) and writing about any pertinent NHL news that comes in (injury updates, trades, starting goaltender confirmations, contract signings, suspensions, rumors, etc). The role also includes updating different aspects of RotoWire’s NHL database. -Received an editor role in March of 2025. Responsible for editing and approving some of RotoWire’s NHL content.
Deliver food to customers, restock soda and ice machines, assist counter staff as needed
-Sold 50/50 raffle tickets at home games (partnered with a different charity/organization each game in order to raise awareness and money for each cause). -Helped set up and work various events within the community to promote the Islanders and their brand. -Aided in weekly preparing of folders with flyers that entail the programs the Islanders offer to be handed out at school assemblies. -Assisted with various miscellaneous tasks at the practice facility -- such as organizing, cleaning and inventory for the storage rooms and containers.
