About

I am a passionate computer scientist with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and software engineering. My academic journey, fueled by curiosity and a belief in AI’s transformative potential, led me to earn a BSc, BScHons and MSc in Computer Science—graduating cum laude at every stage. Along the way, I learned to push the boundaries of innovation, from working on an AWS-backed software engineering project to publishing research on deep learning applications for radio galaxy classification and anomalous source detection in prestigious journals. Professionally, I have focused on delivering measurable, data-driven solutions for client problems. At Munus International, I was responsible for machine learning projects from ideation to deployment, designing solutions that spanned diverse domains, such as insurance, security, meteorology and agriculture. As a teaching assistant for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, I guided students in mastering software engineering and AI concepts, including practical sessions on frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow. Additionally, my nearly decade-long experience as a hockey coach sharpened my leadership and mentorship skills, allowing me to foster growth in both technical and non-technical environments. I thrive in dynamic environments that encourage continuous learning and innovation. Beyond academics and work, I’ve honed my skills through hackathons (finishing 2nd at Standard Bank’s annual event) and selective programs, such as NVIDIA workshops on Transformers, Condor Camp for AI Safety and ML Summer School. When I envision the future, I see AI driving groundbreaking innovation, revolutionizing industries, and elevating lives. Thus, I aim to contribute to projects that responsibly leverage AI to accelerate progress, combining technical excellence with ethical considerations. My strengths include rapid learning, problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to impactful, high-quality work. If you believe this aligns with your company’s goals and culture, let’s connect.
