About

I have five years of Project Management in Heavy Industrial-mechanical construction;. I have two years of senior level project management/and overall operations management; both of which management styles' included overseeing projects valued of up to $ 16.2 billion dollars. Most of the projects I estimated, put together bid packages, and, managed subcontractors were valued up to 200-300 million. I started off managing/estimating projects valued at $2,000-$1,000,000. I have 8 years of overall engineering/construction experience. I have grown up around construction my entire life, because my father owned a residential construction company in Chicago for 32 years. I have focused primarily on estimating and scheduling in process piping; but have been exposed to a great deal of commercial applications as well. I started my career out of college at Hayes Mechanical and worked as an Assistant Project Manager in the industrial division. I gained a great deal of experience while at Hayes. Going through bid documents, performing quantity take-offs, finalizing bid packages prior to submittal, negotiating contract amounts, and managing sub contractors were my main responsibilities. I moved to another mechanical engineering firm in Alaska as an Estimator for a large commercial HVAC & Plumbing contractor out of Anchorage, AK. I received professional Quick-pen training which sharpened my estimating skills. I then moved to Automated Logic Corporation as a Project Supervisor. My main responsibilities consisted of overseeing projects, scheduling, project controls and executing/negotiating change orders. I then worked as a freelance consultant for a brief time. I now have found my niche; working with my hands. I am being grown into management from the ground up. I plan to remain a union tradesman for the mid- to long term; but am also open to being an operations specialist/buyer once I have been seasoned and grown from within my company, Jewel/Osco.
