With over two decades of experience in the lab industry, I’ve worn many hats—from answering phones at reception to managing an entire laboratory. I started my journey over 20 years ago, and in 2011, after earning my P401 qualification, I stepped into the role of Laboratory Manager. Since then, I’ve been responsible for overseeing audits, managing surveillances, ensuring safety protocols, and keeping our lab running smoothly and efficiently. Outside the lab, I trade lab coats for leggings—I’m an avid runner and a passionate pole fitness enthusiast (yes, it's as fun as it sounds!). I also love getting lost in a good book. One thing I’ve learned for sure: I’m definitely not cut out for homeschooling—so hats off to all the teachers out there!
I have worked within the Asbestos industry for about 20 years now, My career began as a cleaner and I have worked my way up through the ranks to Laboratory Manager where we run the analysis of samples for asbestos content through the use of PLM, these samples may have been collected by us or bought in via clients. I manage staff that carry out a very high standard of work and take pride in all that they do. Between running the Lab and my family I have a lovely work/home balance and strive everyday to make a difference.
