The Access and Widening Participation office aims to encourage young people from underprivileged and underrepresented backgrounds into higher education. As a student ambassador, I deliver classroom-based activities, lead campus tours, represent UCL at higher education fairs and assist in event preparation and admin work
Debate Mate aims to tackle educational disadvantage in areas of high child poverty across the UK. My role as a lead mentor involves running after school debate programmes aimed at improving communication, critical and creative thinking, teamwork and above all else confidence, through the medium of debate.
