Graduate from Sabanci University with a bachelor’s degree and a recent graduate with a master’s degree from EPFL. Passionate materials scientist with diverse background in interdisciplinary research, committed to driving positive change in healthcare innovation.
Chosen to participate in Medical i-Teams, focusing on assessing the market potential of Cambridge Surgical Models’ high-fidelity anatomical models for surgical training. The project involves exploring commercial opportunities, engaging with industry stakeholders, determining potential industrial partners, and investigating applications in fields like surgical robotics and medical education.
Conducted literature and benchmark research on R&D, clean energy transition and fuel cell membranes. Wrote project and grant applications for national and international projects (Tubitak, Horizon Europe).
The institute focused on marine sciences, including ecology, oceanography, global warming and pollution. - Developed a toolbox and utilized of a novel imaging sensor for marine applications and biological sample characterization. - Maintained aquaria experiments and did field-work for quantifying the chlorophyll content of seagrasses, resulting in eutrophication assessments.
Research assistantship covered two years in the Supramolecular Nanomaterials and Interfaces Laboratory of Prof. Francesco Stellacci and in the Laboratory of Biomaterials for Immunoengineering of Prof. Li Tang. - Characterized different antiviral nanomaterials and determined the critical micelle concentration of the materials via electrochemical means to detect their median lethal dose. - Synthesized and characterized (SDS-Page and Dynamic Light Scattering) radical oxygen species-responsive nano gels for tumor-targeted drug delivery to optimize nano gel formation.
My field of action involved characterizing electrical/dielectric material samples for EV and EV charging applications: - Measured AC breakdown, analyzed the results using the Weibull statistics method on thermoplastic specimens, tracked and measured erosion, and documented the results on thermosetting specimens. - Produced test objects by 3D printing for plasma torch experiments, prepared samples and supported electro-thermal aging studies and insulation resistance and dielectric strength tests of EV charging cables.
