Delivery Hero is a German multinational online food-delivery service based in Berlin, Germany. The company operates in 50+ countries internationally in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East and partners with 500,000+ restaurants. I have contributed to develop payment services from zero and currently I am focusing customer related operations domain. Contributing system design and business related rule decisions, developing backend and frontend applications, implementing cloud native solutions with using GCP components and third party implementations are main responsibilities.
Yemeksepeti is a Turkish online food delivery company. Yemeksepeti currently operates in 70 cities in Turkey and in Northern Cyprus, with more than 35,000 member restaurants, 18 million users, and 520,000 daily orders. I was working at Banabi which is a leading quick commerce platform of Turkey with thousands of transactions. Developing new features, maintaining live system and fixing bugs, developing custom sdks for some cloud components (like AWS SNS/SQS), contributing to cloud migration and handling microservices challenges were my main responsibilities. Another big challenge in Banabi was migrating all systems including databases, apis and clients to DeliveryHero's infrastructure. The biggest challenge was keeping live system alive while migrating the infrastructure. Adapters, rest apis, gRPC services and database scripts were developed.
