I have worked over 25 years in different financial positions primarilly in the energy industry. In several of the roles I've had, I've been focusing on improvement projects where increased profitability has been the overriding goal. Summary of experience : Long and wide practical experience in financial management in various companies and industries and with a significant degree of responsibility to follow international subsidiaries. Good knowledge of various reporting and performance monitoring tools as instruments in the preparation of relevant and value-added management information. Extensive experience with reporting responsibilities for greater operational activities of listed companies that requires financial reporting with high quality and within challenging deadlines.
Primary duties is focusing on identifying, planning and execute on business development and improvement projects in Eagle AS daughter companies in order to add value to existing and new business from an owners perspective.
As CFO of Brady Energy, I am responsible for the overall financial management of the London listed Brady PLC s Energy segment. As from March 2012, Brady Energy include 3 acquired software units within Energy trading and Risk management solutions for Power, Gas and related Commodity Trading. Brady Energy has subsidiaries in Norway, UK, Canada, USA and Switzerland. The CFO role in Brady Energy includes responsibility of developing, managing and maintaining accurate analysis of financial strategy, rolling forecasts, accounting, budgets and consolidation. Further to make analysis and follow up of profitability, liquidity, risk and investments and to take part in mergers and acquisition processes in Brady Energy.
My CFO duties at Navita encompassed all aspects of company finance: controlling, auditing, year-end reporting, fund management, M&A activities, HR, and group back-office functions. I was also responsible for initiating, planning, and managing a range of initiatives dedicated to increasing Navita’s profitability. As CFO in Navita, I took an active part in a lot of improvement processes which ensured that Navita was turned into a profitable unit and made sure that the Venture Investors was able to realize their values through the sale of business in Mars 2012.
Financial Director for the hydro power generation unit Hafslund Produksjon AS within the Oslo listed company Hafslund ASA. Responsible for all financial reporting and for managing and coordinating the company s strategy processes. Responsible for the organization's overall risk policy including the establishment and monitoring of all insurance contracts and claims. Responsibility for monitoring of Hafslund's subsidiaries in the United States (1996 - 2006) with focus on operational improvements and increased profitability. Later responsible for the sale and liquidation of hydropower operations in the United States (2004 -2006). Active participation in the company's process of planning to carry out an investment and modernization program for a 600MNOK in the period 2007-2012 which aimed to renew and increase its own production of renewable hydropower from Hafslund's power facilities in Glomma. The main responsibility for financial supervision related to the construction of a new 40 MW power plant at a cost of 300MNOK and with turbine and generator supply from China.
