A life-long financial professional with blue chip experience starting with Big 8 auditing for 5 busy seasons leading to CFO/VP/Controller positions within the explosive growth high tech industry of the go-go 90's, manufacturing/foreign operations during Y2K and most recently an 11-year run in real estate with a NYSE traded firm followed by CFO positions at privately-held owner/developers of multi-family real estate. Known for building peak performing teams and promotion from within, leading by example/contributing to SEC comment letters and being nationally recognized for all the above.
After being affiliated with the Firm for over 25 years, I decided to join full-time and bring along my 30+ years as a Public and Private Company CFO to the clients of the Firm. My main focus will be continuing to provide top notch service to the loyal clients and offer business acquisition, merger and sales consulting services to those in need.

Leadership of the Rochester Chapter NYSSCPA comprised of over 850 members and one of 15 Chapters of the State-wide organization of 26,000 members. Founded in 1976, Morgan Communities is a privately-held developer and managing owner of over 30,000 multi-family apartment units, commercial and retail properties spread across more than a dozen states with a portfolio asset value approaching $4 billion. Recruited by founder to lead a significant makeover of the company including a complete system conversion from Timberline to Yardi, staffing of key positions within finance, marketing and IT, and re-implement an AP outsourcing initiative (AVIDXchange).
Formerly publicly traded (NYSE: HME) $685 million annual revenue multi-family residential real estate investment trust, with a market cap of $7.6 billion. In October 2015, HME was acquired by Lone Star Funds and is now a platform company within their Real Estate Fund IV. One of only a few senior managers/VP’s to continue on with Lone Star post-acquisition. Joined after year one of Sarbanes-Oxley/404 implementation and led streamlining initiative for year two and beyond which captured $1.5 million of external auditing and consulting cost reductions. Responsible for managing and motivating a department of 50 staff. Directed all aspects of the accounting function including month-end close and consolidation of over 125 business units; maintaining solid internal controls, including complying with Sarbanes-Oxley/404 (no significant deficiencies); accounts payable and accounts receivable; fixed assets and construction accounting; timely and accurate external/SEC and internal reporting; and ensuring all transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP. Direct report to CFO, member and Secretary of Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. • Optimized and reduced staff levels in the accounting department during a period of overall company growth through efficiency measures and workflow optimization. • Enabled year over year external audit fee decreases by delivering timely and concise audit schedules and installation of key internal controls offering clear audit trails. • Member of senior management team leading to successful initial ratings with Moody’s and S&P. • During 2015, was a key member of a 5-person due diligence team enabling the Lone Star acquisition, gathering and loading over 17,000 documents into the data room. Single-handedly responded to questions lodged by 100+ analysts on the Lone Star side of the deal.
