Senior project engineering position with a focus on the development, qualification and delivery of Electrical Trace Heating (ETH) pipeline technology for the Fenja EPCI project. Responsibilities and skills: - Offshore Project Engineer on the Deep Energy pipelay vessel for installation of the Electrically Trace Heated Pipe-in-Pipe production pipeline. - Managing the development and qualification of multidisciplinary technologies in accordance with DNVGL-RP-A203. - Managing the design and fabrication of novel subsea pipeline infrastructure. - Client interface, including presenting project plans and technical proposals and justifications. - Preparation and review of project documentation, including technical specifications, fabrication procedures, qualification reports, purchasing plans, engineering design and calculation reports, inspection and test plans, project scheduling etc. - Project delivery in accordance with the terms of contract and prevailing industry standards. - Co-ordinating multidisciplinary teams to delivery complex fabrication and installation scopes. - Subcontractor management including generation of the technical specifications, leading technical clarifications, agreeing terms of contract, review and approval of all project and engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with industrial standards. - Quality Control and fabrication inspection. - Subcontractor auditing. - Failure Mechanisms and Effects Criticality Analyses (FMECA), risk analysis, onshore/offshore management of change. - Leader of subcontractor kick-off meetings, pre-production meetings, design reviews and project close-out meetings. - Generation and review of continuous feedback systems including root cause failure analysis and lessons learned documentation.
Working on the development and qualification of new technologies for subsea rigid pipelines. Responsibilities and skills: - Pipeline design to industry standards (DNV OS-F101, BS PD 8010 etc.) - Leading concept generation and development across multidisciplinary teams - Vendor management and supervision - Non-linear FEA, using Abaqus and Hypermesh - Conducting feasibility studies and comprehensive market and cost assessments - Business case/strategy formulation, presenting to key stakeholders - Scheduling and budgeting for a range of technology development projects - Installation and in-service ECA of reel-lay rigid pipelines using CrackWISE as per BS 7910 - Writing and checking technical reports, engineering specifications/drawings, test procedures and QHSE assessments - Providing technical support and guidance on the application of rigid pipeline technologies to project teams worldwide
