Ken Kuang is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and experienced executive who established Torrey Hills Technologies, LLC in 2004. He propelled Torrey Hills to become ranked #188 in the INC500 Fast Growing Private Companies in America and ranked #2 in San Diego Business Journal 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in San Diego. Additionally, he was a finalist for the Most Admired CEO award in San Diego on three separate occasions. Kuang has been a prominent member of the International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS) for a considerable period and was the Vice President of Membership. He is renowned as an expert in RF/MW packaging, having delivered numerous presentations at packaging conferences. He was also the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Best Session Paper in IMAPS 2000, Best Symposium Paper in ICEPT 2003, the IMAPS President Awards in 2008 and 2012, and the Fellow of the Society in 2014. Founded in 2004, Torrey Hills Technologies has grown to be a leader in the supply of three roll mills, microelectronics packaging components, such as copper tungsten heat sinks, to major manufacturers. The company ships worldwide to more than 60 countries and regions. They deliver quality but affordable materials and equipment for multiple industries. From manufacturing award-winning three roll mills in San Diego to working simultaneously with it's manufacturing plant which was also started by it's CEO Ken Kuang in Yixing China they're able to source copper tungsten, copper-molybdenum, and other composite materials. Ken has also successfully introduced the HENGLI brand production furnaces to the international market, drying and firing furnaces have been widely used in solar cell processing and electronic assembly industries. While driving sales and growing the Torrey Hills Technologies product line, Ken has also published a series of books utilizing his past experience and what he's learned through his time since starting Torrey Hills Technologies. His publishments have been on Fuel Cell Electronics Packaging, RF and Microwave Microelectronics Packaging, Advanced Thermal Management Materials, RF and Microwave Microelectronics Packaging II, and lastly Conveyor Belt Furnace Thermal Processing - all published through Springer.
I co-founded Jiangsu Dingqi Sci & Tech in 2007 with a good friend. We became a leader in manufacturing of microelectronics packaging materials (copper tungsten CuW, copper molybdenum CuMo and more). Our CuW and CuMo heat sinks were used by all major electronics companies worldwide. As of July 2023, the factory was acquired by Wuxi MTC Microelectronic Materials CO.,LTD.
Started with a dream to make the best possible three roll mills in San Diego, our team succeeded in building an award winning all stainless steel three roll mill line, and shipped our machines to ~40 countries worldwide. This product line was acquired in April 2021.
