For more than three decades, my professional work has centred on a consistent theme: helping organisations make better decisions in complex environments. Across leadership roles in strategy, business intelligence, analytics, planning, and transport operations at SMRT, NETS, and the Singapore Productivity & Standards Board, I worked on transforming information into insight, structure into action, and uncertainty into manageable decisions. Whether building enterprise analytics capabilities, leading strategic planning initiatives, or designing decision-support frameworks, I was continually drawn to the challenge of creating systems that endure beyond individuals. In parallel with my professional career, I devoted decades to developing and refining a personal investment framework guided by the same principles of structure, analytical rigour, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. That effort evolved into GROEPLE — a private investment operating system that integrates valuation methodology, scenario analysis, risk management, behavioural safeguards, portfolio construction, treasury management, and information processing into a coherent decision framework.
Following a three-decade career in Strategy, Business Intelligence, Analytics, Planning, and Operations leadership, I have dedicated this chapter to consolidating and advancing a parallel body of work that evolved throughout my investing journey. This effort culminated in the formalisation of GROEPLE — a private investment system & methodologies built upon decades of market experience, structured decision-making, and continuous refinement. GROEPLE integrates valuation analysis, macroeconomic assessment, scenario planning, portfolio construction, treasury management, behavioural safeguards, information processing, and tactical execution. Its purpose is to provide a coherent framework for navigating uncertainty while preserving discipline, capital readiness, and long-term sustainability. The work reflects the same principles that guided my professional career: transforming complexity into clarity, building robust decision systems, and creating structures that remain useful across changing environments. Today, GROEPLE serves as both my personal investment framework and an ongoing legacy project focused on preserving investment judgement, documenting accumulated knowledge, and institutionalising decision processes for future continuity. Key Areas of Work • Formalised a multi-decade investment framework integrating valuation, risk management, portfolio construction, treasury discipline, and market intelligence. • Developed structured methodologies spanning macroeconomic analysis, company valuation, scenario modelling, tactical trading, and behavioural safeguards. • Established a private knowledge repository comprising methodologies, research processes, analytical tools, market observations, and reflective journals. • Applied enterprise-level strategy and analytics disciplines to the design of a long-horizon investment framework. • Continue independent research into market structure, economic trends, capital allocation, and decision-making under uncertainty.
Led the Digital Office’s enterprise‑wide BI and Data Analytics strategy. Built and coached “self‑service analytics” capabilities across all business units, elevating data literacy and operational insight generation.
Led three Transport Planning teams comprising over 30 executives across Business Planning, Network Planning, and Schedule Planning. Served as subject matter expert in transport business strategy and consulting.
