I’m a Senior Copywriter and Brand Storyteller with a unique foundation in psychology and journalism—combining creative instinct with audience insight to craft content that connects and converts. At Target Creative, I own copy development across branding, packaging, and marketing initiatives, helping shape voice and storytelling for national and private-label brands. My work spans everything from product naming and collection storytelling to digital campaigns and packaging copy that brings strategy to life in everything from home and hardlines (a focus on bedding, soft bath, home décor, and more) to cultural moments, limited-time collaborations, and other opportunities for connecting brands to the best guest experience. Outside of Target, I’m a freelance journalist, photographer, and digital producer, with bylines and projects spanning entertainment, lifestyle, and culture. I’ve interviewed A-list talent, reported from major events, and managed creative production from pitch through post. I’m passionate about the intersection of brand voice, culture, and consumer psychology, and I thrive on turning strategy into compelling, human-centered storytelling. Kendra A Kabasele Photography was born when LA-based Canadian Journalist and Photographer Kendra A. Kabasele transformed the worst pain in her life after losing her mother, into a beautiful passion project in honor of her mother and mothers around the world, every day, all year long. The Anita Claire Project was launched on Mother's Day of 2014, as a gift to her mother. Out of The Anita Claire Project came a natural transition into capturing other subjects, places and objects. After about a decade of experience in the behind the scenes of the photo syndication and licensing world, representing photographers and serving clients in all streams of media (print, broadcast, film, online, etc), Kendra has embraced her creative side and is creating photographic memories for people, from behind the lens. While she likes to call her passion "people photography", she also excels in the areas of capturing the beauty of travel and everyday objects. As an international photographer, her love for documentary style shooting also allows for priceless candid pieces, in every type of assignment she dives into.
