I am a Belgian podiatrist with over 25 years of experience in foot and lower limb injury management. As Head of Sports Podiatry at PSG, I work closely with professional and academy athletes to optimize their performance and support their recovery. Before joining PSG, I led the Podiatry Department at Aspetar Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Hospital from 2014 to 2024. During that time, I had the privilege of contributing to major international events such as the 2019 IAAF World Championship and the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Over the years, I have worked with elite athletes across various sports, including football, athletics, handball, tennis, and squash. I hold a Master’s degree in Podiatry and a PhD from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. My work has been published extensively in the fields of sports podiatry and biomechanics, and I have held academic positions at Artevelde University College as well as other institutions across Europe. My expertise covers sports injuries, biomechanics, orthotic therapy, and injury prevention, with a strong focus on research, education, and innovation in sports medicine. According to the Gallup StrengthsFinder, my top strengths are Encouragement, Empathy, Harmony, Learning, and Connectedness.
