About

I'm an actor and the founder of Polaris Pictures, an independent production company developing character-driven narrative features in the register of prestige streaming. My path to founding a production company didn't start in a boardroom — it started on set. As an actor, I learned how a story actually gets built: how performance, tone, and restraint create the intimate, emotionally precise work that stays with an audience. That perspective shapes every decision I make as a producer. I know what a script feels like from the inside, and I build projects that protect the work that matters on screen. But great films aren't made on instinct alone — they're made on infrastructure. I've built the financial and operational architecture that turns a screenplay into a fundable, producible film: investor data rooms, financial models incorporating state film tax credits and multi-scenario recoupment waterfalls, SAG-AFTRA-compliant budgets across low-budget agreement tiers, and the legal groundwork — entity formation, mutual NDAs, use-of-funds frameworks — that serious investors expect. I speak both languages, the creative and the capital, and that's rarer than it should be. Polaris Pictures lives at that intersection. Our debut feature, Still Here, is an intimate prestige drama spanning three generations of women trying to find their way back to each other after a family member's failed attempt to take their own life. It reflects the company's thesis: emotionally rigorous, commercially intelligent independent film that respects both the audience and the people who finance it. I founded Polaris because the industry needs producers who can hold the artistic standard and the business discipline in the same hand. If you're an investor, distributor, collaborator, or fellow filmmaker working in independent narrative and documentary film, I'd welcome a conversation. — [email protected]
